A few words about us

Coreen Waters B.A., M.A., B.C.L., LL.B.

Coreen Waters is a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1983 and of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1991.  She is an accredited family mediator in the province of Quebec and a member of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. Ms Waters has provided legal information to the community through McGill Legal Aid Clinic, the Women’s Centre of Montreal and various shelters.  She has also presented information to the community on family law matters through the Centres locaux de services communautaires in Montreal. Coreen Waters has been named an arbitrator by the Barreau du Québec to arbitrate disputes concerning legal fees between lawyers and their clients. Coreen Waters is also a member of the following associations:

  • The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (Ontario Chapter)

    Coreen Waters and Michael Kushnir regularly participate in on-going professional development and have received certificates in Screening for Power Imbalances including Domestic Violence, in Mediation-Arbitration.

     

    • Michael Kushnir B.A., LL.B, B.C.L.

    Michael Kushnir is a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1981 and of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1992.  He is an accredited family mediator in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario.  Mr. Kushnir is also a roster mediator with the Ontario Civil Mandatory Mediation Program.  He served for a number of years on the Board of Directors of the Association des avocats et avocates en droit familial du Québec. He has addressed the Quebec section of the Canadian Bar Association on the use of mediation in elder law. Michael Kushnir is also a member of the following associations:
